We had a great time staying in this hotel. We stayed 4 nights as a big group of 13, including kids age 6 to 13. Booked 4 rooms. The hotel definitely exceeded our expectations. Location was close to Dotonbori, about less than 5 minutes walk. Halal food were abundant around the area, so it was easy for us. There were a few "adult" entertainment places around the area but no dodgy people outside the establishment. Pretty much just inside. It was not a big deal for us walking around with the kids. The staff were efficient, speaks english. So communication was good and easy. They have common area with free flow drink and utensils if you want to have your meal there. Plenty of massage chairs to use after a long day out. We love these facilities very much. Rooms were spacious. We can pack and re-pack our big bags with no problem. TV was equipped with netflix, so kids were not complaining. Plenty of hooks and hangers, small important details that this hotel seems to get it right. Communication prior to our arrival was good. They provided information on the nearest exit from the Namba station, both for elevator and stairs. It was just 3 minutes walk to the train station and several bus stations around. The location is really central, makes it easy to get around with any form of transportation. The hotel was very kind to help us deliver our bags to our kansai airport hotel on our last day. We had 14 bags altogether! It would have been nightmare to get it delivered via Yamato or any delivery method. So their help was very much appreciated. The hotel is top notch in terms of hospitality to their customers. Thank you Hotel88, we loved our stay at your hotel. Until next time!

The hotel itself is very spacious, which you don't get it often from a hotel in Japan. As we were a family of four, we coud open all four luggages at the same time. Love the location where it is convenient to explore the main area in osaka and the train station. They had a common pantry area for you to get freeflow of drinks/soup. You can buy food from outside and just chill there. The most amazing experience we had was the service from the staff even after we checked-out. We checked-out on 2 Jun and they had a transport to send us to Nanba station as we needed to take a train to Kansai airport from there. That day was unfortunate as there was typhoon and all train/bus services stopped. My family and I were stucked at Nanba, at loss. So I whatsapp the hotel to try asking if they offer airport transfer. The next thing they called me and said, though they are not license to do airport transfer, they found out that there is bus services from OCAT to Kansai airport; and they will pick us up from where they drop us and sent us to OCAT. We were so relieved. Once we reached OCAT, they did not just drop us, the staff even helped us with our luggage and walked us all the way to the ticket booth and told us what to do and assured us before leaving. They even said, just call them if anything. They even continue to whatsapp me to check our status. I have never experience such an attentive service from hotels before even after we checked out, and they are the first. My family and I were very grateful to the hotel staff. We will not hesitate to come back and stay again.

Hotel 88 is well situated. It was away from the hustle and bustle of Dotonbori but still very near everything. 7-Eleven and Lawson's are nearby. Donki is also around the corner and Sugi is down the street. We walked to Dotonbori, Shinsaibashi, and Kuromon Market from here. I also liked the free drinks and chairs in the lobby. There's even a microwave, plates and utensils for those who order take out. Take note, though, that it can't be brought to the room. We loved the layout of the room since the toilet, sink, and shower are all separated from each other. It's perfect for families since everyone can still do their own "business." The room is clean and quite spacious for Japanese standards. I loved the Dyson hairdryer! I also liked how there were hooks everywhere to hang our caps, jackets and bags. The nightlights beside the bed are even a usb hub charger. They even have a shoe horn right by the door. They even provide a clothes rack for those who decide to do laundry. These small touches definitely made our stay more comfortable. The best part is the free ride to the train station after we checked out. One of the staff even brought us all the way to the ticket counter and helped us load our cards and told us what time the train will leave and what platform to take. Wonderful and awesome service! I highly recommend and would definitely stay here again :) Tip: The exit from Namba station is Exit 22 then sub-exit is B-8.

Loved the location. Very centrally located and close to transport and attractions. Loved the hospitality. The staff went above and beyond. Grabbing our bags as soon as they saw us at the door. Taking us to a restaurant when we were hungry at check in. And driving us to the bus stop when we were heading back to the airport. Such impeccable service. And they really ensured you didn't get lost getting to the hotel. They provided a video showing a visual route. The room was massive. Spacious, clean and comfortable. Quiet as well. Even though we could see the highway we could not hear it The hotel provided a non alcohoic drinks bar (hot and cold) from 6am to midnight. They don't provide food but they have a lovely seating dining area with microwave, hot water and cutlery. Great to buy food and eat comfortably at the hotel. There are also massage chairs which is fantastic to relax after a long day. There is also a pool table if you fancy a game. Loved our stay and wish we could stay even longer. Highly recommended and I would personally stay there again.

The staff was the highlight of the hotel. Always smiling and very helpful. We were taking the airport shuttle, whose pickup point was 15 15-minute walk from the hotel. The lady helping us with the checkout told us that the hotel would drop us off at the shuttle pickup location, and then followed up by accompanying us to the bus stop, guiding us through the maze of ticket vending machines, ATMs, and the bus boarding point. Without her help, we would have surely taken 20-30 minutes more. I was pleasantly shocked at this fantastic service. And besides this, the daily housekeeping was spot on, free coffee and other drinks in the lobby, laundromat (better than the one at Sheraton Grande), spacious rooms, a 65inch 4k TV in the room, the massage chairs which we used daily after our tiring days and just 4-5 mins walk to dotonbori street. I would surely stay here again.
