Right after booking, the hotel messaged me right away and confirmed. They provided the best way to reach the hotel from the airport (exit to bus stop, schedule, and fare). Although we took the metro since we arrived past the last bus, we were able to reach the hotel because they also provided youtube walkthroughs of the area from different exits. We alighted at the JR Namba station because it had the most accessible elevators. I chose this hotel primarily because of the location, and the glowing reviews from other patrons. Super near the subway exit. Exit B-4 is only 120 m away, no escalators but it is connected to an underground strip mall with lots of dining and shopping options. 7-Eleven and Lawson is about 250 m away. About 500 m away from Dotonbori, very walkable. Excellent service. Assisted us with our luggage transfer from the hotel to Tokyo hotel. When it rained, they lent free umbrellas to use. A Dyson supersonic hair dryer was mounted in each rooms bathroom. I was also able to rent the Dyson Airwrap from the reception with no additional charge. Bottled water, instant coffee, tea, toiletries and towels are replenished if you put the Make-up Room magnet on your front door. Bath and toilet are separate rooms so it is easier for everyone. There are a lot of electrical sockets. The rooms are really spacious and there lots of surfaces to place your things on. Room 1: Standard Twin Room - Main Building Room 2: Deluxe Twin Room - Main Building >Has a massage chair >Has a microwave Lobby provides a large area for waiting and eating. Free drinks (water, coffee, tea, hot chocolate, soda). Wasn't sure if there was soup since it was out of stock when I tried to dispense it. Utensils, mugs are free to use. Hot water also available if you bought cup noodles. Massage chairs also available at the lobby & billiards table 5-star service! On checkout, they helped bring us to the bus terminal via private van. Will definitely choose to stay here again.

The hotel itself is very spacious, which you don't get it often from a hotel in Japan. As we were a family of four, we coud open all four luggages at the same time. Love the location where it is convenient to explore the main area in osaka and the train station. They had a common pantry area for you to get freeflow of drinks/soup. You can buy food from outside and just chill there. The most amazing experience we had was the service from the staff even after we checked-out. We checked-out on 2 Jun and they had a transport to send us to Nanba station as we needed to take a train to Kansai airport from there. That day was unfortunate as there was typhoon and all train/bus services stopped. My family and I were stucked at Nanba, at loss. So I whatsapp the hotel to try asking if they offer airport transfer. The next thing they called me and said, though they are not license to do airport transfer, they found out that there is bus services from OCAT to Kansai airport; and they will pick us up from where they drop us and sent us to OCAT. We were so relieved. Once we reached OCAT, they did not just drop us, the staff even helped us with our luggage and walked us all the way to the ticket booth and told us what to do and assured us before leaving. They even said, just call them if anything. They even continue to whatsapp me to check our status. I have never experience such an attentive service from hotels before even after we checked out, and they are the first. My family and I were very grateful to the hotel staff. We will not hesitate to come back and stay again.

Hotel 88 is well situated. It was away from the hustle and bustle of Dotonbori but still very near everything. 7-Eleven and Lawson's are nearby. Donki is also around the corner and Sugi is down the street. We walked to Dotonbori, Shinsaibashi, and Kuromon Market from here. I also liked the free drinks and chairs in the lobby. There's even a microwave, plates and utensils for those who order take out. Take note, though, that it can't be brought to the room. We loved the layout of the room since the toilet, sink, and shower are all separated from each other. It's perfect for families since everyone can still do their own "business." The room is clean and quite spacious for Japanese standards. I loved the Dyson hairdryer! I also liked how there were hooks everywhere to hang our caps, jackets and bags. The nightlights beside the bed are even a usb hub charger. They even have a shoe horn right by the door. They even provide a clothes rack for those who decide to do laundry. These small touches definitely made our stay more comfortable. The best part is the free ride to the train station after we checked out. One of the staff even brought us all the way to the ticket counter and helped us load our cards and told us what time the train will leave and what platform to take. Wonderful and awesome service! I highly recommend and would definitely stay here again :) Tip: The exit from Namba station is Exit 22 then sub-exit is B-8.

I have read reviews on staff service being exceptional, and I was not disappointed. We had our luggage sent via forwarding service and it was broken during transit. I wasn't aware, but the staff brought the matter to my attention, and they insisted I chase the transportation company for compensation. They helped us with the inquiry, and I was able to receive my compensation on the day I checked out. The hotel is situated in the most convenient location. 5 minutes walk to Namba station, and Dotonbori. 2 minutes walk to 7 Eleven and Lawson. Rooms were very clean and the beds were extremely comfy. The unlimited drinks bar was an added bonus. On the day I checked out, I was planning on taking the train to Shin Osaka station to catch the Shinkansen back to Tokyo. The owner of the hotel must have overheard my conversation with one of his staff, and told me he would drop me off at Shin Osaka, and mind you, the ride is at least 20 minutes. The service level is second to none, and I have not experienced anything like it. Great job Hotel 88, you have made a very memorable stay for me and my family. I will definitely return in the near future.

Everything was amazing from the start to finish! The amenities and extras in the lobby were very accommodating as to be expected from the reviews. However, the large rooms and generous hotel facilities could not match the service that was given by the staff here. Words cannot fully describe how well the staff treated us. Everyone was extremely friendly and genuinely helpful beyond anything we have ever experienced, five-star hotels included. Every single staff were dedicated into helping us with every single thing we could ask, from facilitating with our previous (horrible) accommodation about a forgotten item to helping us with our trip to the Kansai Airport. The staff explained that the bus would be the more convenient option for us, and that the hotel would give us a free ride to the bus terminal. This was already beyond our expectation, but upon arriving at the bus terminal, the staff also helped with our luggages to the bus platform as well as facilitated with the buying our tickets. We were extremely touched by the genuine care that was given to us and are already anticipating our next visit.
